Pastors Rich and DawnChere Wilkerson say one of the biggest obstacles in communication is the act of assuming false things about someone else.
“Stop assuming,” DawnChere Wilkerson says at VOUS church in Miami, Florida. “Can we be real? So many of life’s misunderstandings, so many of the arguments, so much of the missed joy and thrill of relationship [are] when we just assume. We assume the person we love is in the same season they were in last year; we assume their preferences are the same this year as they were seven years ago. No, friend, they’re growing; and if you’re not growing, you’re dying.”
