Joel Osteen, John Gray’s former pastor, shed a few tears during Gray’s installation at Relentless Church. Though Gray took over the reigns of the former Redemption Church last month from Ron Carpenter, Sunday was his official installation. “John and Aventer are faithful people. They are loyal people,” Osteen, pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, says. “I cry way too easy.”
He continued: “John and Aventer have made me better. I can truly say that Lakewood is better today because John and Aventer have been there.” Watch the video to see the full speech.
