In a new livestream, Isaiah Saldivar tackled the subject of sickness and how they are sometimes rooted in the spiritual, not just the physical.

During a Q&A session, Saldivar answered questions relating to sickness and the spiritual condition.
“There’s a couple of things you have to ask yourself,” Saldivar says. “If there’s no physical cause for something, it’s probably spiritual. If the doctor’s telling you that there’s no cause, there’s no medicine, there’s nothing we can find, there’s no tumor, there’s no imbalances, everything’s checking back fine, which a lot of people get that report from the doctor, then likely it’s something spiritual.”

This question brings up a key topic. Sometimes ailments go away from medical intervention, sometimes it happens through divine healing or sometimes through a spirit needing to be cast out. And for some, healing comes ultimately when we reach our heavenly home.
“We know that doctors cannot diagnose spiritual issues, and even if they could they probably wouldn’t even if it’s a Christian doctor that understands these things; they’ll get in trouble if start telling you, ‘Oh yeah, that’s a spirit you need to get deliverance,” says Saldivar.
Saldivar points to Luke 13 where Jesus did not heal a woman who was dealing with physical issues; instead, He cast out the spirit of infirmity from her.
“This woman had a physical ailment; she was bent over for 18 years. Jesus recognized it wasn’t a physical thing that a doctor can cure. It was a demon of infirmity. It was literally a spirit of infirmity. Now, not every spirit that causes sickness has to be a spirit of infirmity, but likely there’s a spirit of infirmity there.”
Saldivar refers viewers back to Genesis where there is no sickness mentioned in the Garden of Eden. This is because it wasn’t until sin was released into the world that we see sickness enter the world. Saldivar points out that sin, especially secret sin, can make you physically sick.
“Sin is an open door to sickness often, but we always think its just random, it just happened. We never stop to think that sickness could be caused from something. We never stop to think that unforgiveness could be the open door to sickness. We never stop to think that arrogance, anger, bitterness, resentment, lust, perversion could be the open door to sickness,” says Saldivar.
