Just because you worked for it doesn’t mean it’s yours—everything you have is God’s, says Pastor Michael Todd. Are you hoarding what God gave you, or are you stewarding it well? Todd suggests that one way to check that is to ask whether you give back to God any part of what He’s given you: time, money, talents or material possessions. One way to give material possessions and talents back to God is by using them to help people.
“The crazy thing about 2020 is that people think they can buy joy,” Todd says. “But if you look at the Word of God, joy is not a fruit of success. … When you don’t steward over the things God’s already put in your hand, you get entitled.”
