Whether it’s our neighbor’s annoying dogs barking before the sun comes up or negative social media blasts, we can always find something to complain about. It may even seem like there’s nothing good in our lives sometimes. On this episode of Glory Living with Matt Sorger on the Charisma Podcast Network, we will see that God sometimes allows irritants into our lives to refine us, to mature us, to grow us up.
No matter which way we’re praying, if we’re complaining to God or praising Him for working in our lives, Sorger says “we’re going to produce fruit one way or the other. So you’re pruned if you do and pruned if you don’t; you are pruned either way.”
When we’re pruned, Sorger says, “God is going to cause us to produce so much fruit and have so much harvest in our life that we will overflow with new wine and oil.”
But first we have to get through the pruning period and the time of cutting back before we can see the overflow and the abundance of fruit in our lives. It will all be worth it, Sorger says, because then “you can actually enjoy every step of the journey that God has you on, when you’re living out of the overflow.”
Even if your neighbor’s dogs still bark before sunrise.
