Until the day breaksand the shadows flee, turn, my lover, and be like a gazelle or like a young stag on the rugged hills. —Song of Solomon 2:17

Have you ever told the Lord no out of fear and weakness when He asked you to do something for Him? Just as He did with the maiden, the Lord calls us out of our comfort zone that we may become mature disciples who live for His pleasure and purpose.

{ PRAYER STARTER }

Father, forgive me for the many times I’ve said no when You asked me to do something for You. I want to be mature, to have a constant yes in my spirit to the things You want me to do and be.

Just like the maiden in the Song of Solomon, I have sometimes
refused the Lord’s fresh challenges by telling Him to go leap
on the mountains or go and conquer areas of darkness without me.
