Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” —Psalm 2:1-3, NKJV
Satan, aware of the Father’s agenda to fill the church with passion for His Son, has devised an agenda of his own. To carry out his plans, Satan is raising up wicked leaders who are committed to sin. They are passionate in their resistance against the holy things of God. This passion will become a hellish rage against Jesus just before He returns. This raging conflict will be fought on many battlegrounds: religious, social, and political ideologies; the economy; science and medicine; morals and ethics; and education, music, and art.

Father, I resist Satan’s wicked agenda to keep people from turning to You. I stand against his plans, and in Your Spirit I challenge him to release his captive hold and set the prisoners free to place their trust and hope in You.
These wicked leaders will violently oppose the
idea of a passionate people filled
with affection for Jesus.
