May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. —John 17:23-24
You shouldn’t concern yourself at the beginning of the journey with finding out who you are. That will come in time. God will reveal you to you in a deeply meaningful, life-transforming way. But, like John the Baptist, you need to first discover who Jesus is as a Bridegroom and to feed your spirit on what His personality is like. When that knowledge begins to come alive in your mind and spirit, you will inevitably discover His affections, His desires, and His tender dealings with you in your weaknesses. You will see that you are indeed a cherished bride. The real you will emerge and blossom in light of who He is.

Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to me. Help me to see myself as You see me—as Your cherished bride. Allow me to emerge and blossom in Your image so that I might be prepared to be Your bride.
The secret to who you are lies in the heart of one
Man alone. He is the Bridegroom God.
