Christian singer and songwriter Matthew West released the music video today for his new song “Unplanned,” which was written for the pro-life film Unplanned that debuts in theaters March 29.
West wrote on Facebook, “I wrote this song from the perspective of someone seeing their newborn baby for the first time. I tried to capture the feelings I had when I first heard my own daughter’s heartbeat; the overwhelming sense of life that is precious, a life that is a miracle, and a life that is a gift.”
In the song’s chorus, West sings, “I don’t believe in accidents/ Miracles they don’t just happen by chance/ As long as my God holds the world in His hands/ I know that there’s no such thing as unplanned.”
