Christian singer Plumb released a new Christmas song, “Behold,” reminding us of how surprising Jesus’ birth was. Thinking He would come as a king, many were surprised when He came to Earth as a baby in a barn.
“They thought they knew who You would be/ A soldier, fearless and strong/ A warrior, but they were wrong.”
In fact, the lyrics remind us that God surprises us a lot, even still—yet that can help us to trust Him more. Though He may do things we don’t expect, He is still who He says He is: Savior of the world.
