Podcaster Bryan White recently asked singer Carrie Underwood, “What’s the one thing that’s saved your life?” And she responded with, “Jesus.”
“It’s such a foundation in my life and I feel so blessed to have grown up in Oklahoma, where we were in the Bible Belt—we still live in the Bible Belt here in Nashville, and to have that foundation, I feel like has just kept me sane,” Underwood says. “It’s crazy music business, and it’s been very important to my family and all of us getting through this crazy world. What me and my husband do, it would be a different life and not nearly as fulfilling or good in any way without God.”
