With millions of Americans’ bookshelves playing host to unread Bibles, there is a massive disconnect between the Word of God’s physical presence and its impact on those who own it. Similarly, the 80 million-strong Millennial generation is generally very skeptical of the Bible’s place in their lives, even though the questions and issues closest to their hearts are addressed by Scripture.
Aiming to address these issues and reclaim the gospel message from recent distortions from within and without the Christian community, the new Modern English Version (MEV) combines classic phraseology and true reverence for Scripture with readability and relevance for modern audiences to help reconnect America with her spiritual moorings and engage a generation with the life-giving answer to life’s problems.
Watch the short video below for more on the issues and how the MEV stands to help the church address them.
