Benny Hinn’s plane crash survival story defies all odds.
In a video shared to social media, Hinn shared his incredible testimony of how God saved his life in 1983 when the plane he was on crashed.
“Look at that picture of a plane. I was in that plane. It crashed in 1983, Avon Park, Florida,” Hinn says. “And six of us came out of that plane…not a scratch on my body.”
Hinn says at the time, he did not realize God was using this to work on his behalf.
“God was working that for my good. Well, I saw how powerful God is. I saw that God can rescue me because I am called.”

Hinn then used this message from Romans 8:28 to point out that for those who are called by God, no evil thing can harm you.
“If you are called, no devil can touch you,” Hinn says. “And God is working not only with the called, but according to His purpose. It’s about the elect, isn’t it?”
He then states the reason behind all of life’s trials and tribulations: To become more like Jesus.

“Everything happens for one eternal purpose: That we would be transformed, conformed into the image of Jesus. Every trial, every problem in life, God is working it out for our good. That it will bring us to that we shall be like Him.”
Hinn’s testimony serves as a sobering yet faith-igniting reminder that God’s hand is not limited by circumstance, tragedy or even what appears to be certain death. In a time when many are questioning whether God still moves in power, stories like this call the church back to bold trust in His sovereignty and purpose.
Even in the fire, even in the storm, even in moments that seem impossible, God is still writing redemption stories.
