Karen Clark Sheard has wooed loyal listeners for years with her signature brand of traditional-contemporary gospel music, and she continues the trend with the release of her CD, All in One.
Part neo-soul, pop music and traditional gospel, the CD is Sheard’s fifth solo project. Though seemingly shy when offstage, the award-winning singer showcases her vocal range with cuts such as “Prayed Up” and “Crazy Praise.”
Her CD is a blend of up-beat praise and precious love songs to God such as “Holy Is Your Word.”
All in One is especially meaningful to Sheard since its the first project to be released on her own record label, Karew Records, founded by Sheard and her husband, Bishop J. Drew Sheard of the Church of God in Christ.
Her son, J. Drew, and daughter, Kierra, both contributed to the project, as did big sister Dorinda Clark Cole on “Take Me.” Other tracks include, “I Made a Choice,” “Good,” “He Knows” and “What He Did.”
