From all indications, Pastor Greg Locke’s movie, “Come Out in Jesus Name”—released in mid-March—is doing exactly what Locke and the Demon Slayers group hoped it would.
In a recent interview with Charisma News, Pastor Alexander Pagani told John Matarazzo that church leaders who have viewed the film are reaching out to Locke and his group and that there is a genuine hunger for them to have the tools to facilitate deliverance within their own ministry.
“What I’m seeing is that people are not only interested in deliverance but there is a desire to be equipped,” Pagani says. “There’s a desire to know how to do this the right way. It’s like, “How do I help somebody get delivered? How do I do this in a way that honors the Lord?'”
It isn’t just happening in the charismatic circles, either, Pagani says. Many who were previously skeptical about biblical deliverance are beginning to lock in on a very important ministry and facet of kingdom work.
“People are taking notice from various Christian denominations, networks, you name it,” he says. “People are reaching out now because the movie has set the tone of how true biblical deliverance is. It’s just another series of great news of what’s going to happen.
“I’m excited about what we’re sharing here. Deliverance has opened another door to where it is now leaving a legacy.”
And, there’s also the Secrets to Deliverance with Alexander Pagani Bible app for your phone or tablet, which shares fundamental and advanced deliverance ministry concepts so “you can cast out devils with confidence.”
It’s simply another facet of technology that can reach people who might not otherwise find the tools they need.
“One of the great things we’re excited about—and it’s totally a God thing—is that it’s one thing to have deliverance services all over the country and helping people get delivered in various areas where deliverance just happens to break out,” Pagani says. “But it’s another thing to be able to submit the theology of deliverance with a Christian Bible app biblical study software.
“That way, the revelation of deliverance can now go beyond this small demographic of Christians that are on the fringe of this thing; to now hitting biblical seminaries, hitting churches and biblical institutes. Now it’s not just doing deliverance, but it’s actually presenting a case for the theology of the ministry of deliverance.”
Pagani says various churches and leaders are now reaching out and partnering not just with him but other members of the Demon Slayers group:
“We want to equip God’s people to not just be what we would call deliverance junkies or, you know, spiritual warfare addicts, which there’s nothing wrong with that because you need to get your freedom. But we also want you to know this. Deliverance is not a power encounter. It’s a truth encounter, and you know that the truth will set you free. Jesus said that thy Word is truth. What did Paul say? Study to show yourself approved unto God.
“So, if you get into the Word with true biblical study, then you might not need as many deliverances as sometimes is propagated out there. You will be strong in the Word. You will submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee.”
