2020 was turbulent, and the uncertainty of the new year can be daunting—but it doesn’t have to be.
Place your hope in the one who cannot be shaken. The prophet Isaiah (61:2-3) reminds us Jesus came to the earth “to comfort all who mourn … to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, [and] the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
Just as Isaiah foreshadows the coming of Jesus to the earth, we can look to 2021 as a new start with hopeful expectations because our help comes from God—and that is certain.
