3 Life-Changing Keys to Self-Deliverance

I will never forget the day that God sent an angel to me in my prayer room, forging one of the most tangible and powerful ways I have ever experienced.

My wife and I were in itinerant ministry at the time, traveling the world with a mandate to bring revival to this generation, but that changed suddenly after this encounter.

The angel gave me divine instruction to plant a church—giving me specifics about the church, even down to the precise date it should be planted. When I came out of the vision, which felt as if I had been caught up in another realm, I checked my calendar and saw that the date the angel gave me was a Sunday. The rest is history.

We planted the Encounter Church on Sept. 18, 2016, and within only four years, we have three fully-fledged church campuses—two in South Africa and one in the USA—and many leaders who have been trained, imparted to and activated to walk in their God-given calling.

While many argue whether deliverance is applicable to Christians today, the Bible records that casting out demons played a significant role in Jesus’ ministry, and most of those whom Jesus delivered were members of the local church. Sadly, there are millions of Christians across the world today who are actively involved in their church yet remain in bondage.

The good news is that God desires for them to be free, and He has anointed you to cast out their demons. In fact, deliverance is such a necessity for every believer that Scripture compares it to bread, which—in many cultures—forms part of their staple food.

In only four years, we have taken thousands of people through deliverance, and the testimonies of transformed lives are incalculable. However, maintaining your deliverance is crucial, and this can only be achieved by having certain ingredients active in your walk with God.
