A historic visit to the White House recently took place when Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met with U.S. President Donald Trump. While the media highlights diplomacy and sanctions, prophecy watchers see more profound spiritual significance from this event.
In an Endtime Show broadcast, Doug Norvell and Vince Stegall pointed out that Trump’s meeting with someone with dark ties, like al-Sharaa, signifies something much more prophetic than the world notices.
“[President Trump] went on Fox News later…saying that he believes that Syria is going to sign on to this peace plan, right? Is that believable? Is that something we should believe or not?” Stegall asked.

” …the president of Syria himself said that he he wasn’t going to rule it out that it will never happen, but at this moment he is not doing it,” Norvell replied.
The meeting between Trump and al-Shahara also raises questions about prophetic timing. Trump expressed optimism about Syria’s role in a coalition against ISIS, while the Syrian president left the door open for U.S.-mediated negotiations with Israel. The Golan Heights, captured by Israel in the Six-Day War of 1967, is at the center of this discussion.
Norvell explained more on this topic, stating:
Now the broader diplomatic developments of this is reports indicate that Israel and Syria could reach several security and military agreements before the end of this year. These talks reportedly mediated by the Trump administration could lead to the establishment of get this a US military base in Damascus. Okay? So Damascus should raise some some bells there because there’s a very prophetic reason…
