Is the dysfunction of 2020 almost over?
To me, the answer is obvious, automatic and intuitive.
No.
Protests in our streets are not shattering the demonic slavery of racism.
Civil unrest and violence throughout our nation are not revealing the potential of peace, prosperity, and purpose.
There are so many questions before us that seem to have no obvious answer.
We merely keep hearing the same phrase over and over:
We are following “the science.”
The government is following “the science.”
You can’t have church because we are following “the science.”
You can’t sing because we are following “the science.“
Our divided world is in conflict between science and the Bible.
Don’t get me wrong; I love science. It has produced genuinely extraordinary things. However, I feel that it is essential to draw a distinction:
Most of the scientific community believe that planet Earth is the source of life, while the Bible teaches that the universe, our solar system, our planet and all people are resources of God. The Bible teaches that God is the source of light, life and love.
We are in a moment as a nation and a world where we must decide, will we worship “the science” or worship the Most High? Can we stay safe and still exalt the Lord? How do these worlds collide for His glory?
I believe that the Holy Spirit is using the crisis of this hour to awaken the church. I must admit that I have found myself wondering how dark it will get before that moment comes.
Yet, I find hope that the Holy Spirit is speaking to believers around the world! He is awakening us to the time before the coming of the Lord.
I also believe that the Holy Spirit is speaking to awaken us to the problems in our world.
Has he spoken to you?
The Bible calls us to be wise and redeem the time because the days are evil (see Eph. 5:16, KJV).
This realness of heart from which I share comes out of a statement I wrote down one morning. I felt these words come out of the deep of my spirit:
“If you will be real with Me, then I will be right with you. Then you will be right with Me, and I will be real with you.”
I believe this was the Holy Spirit speaking to me. Biblically, the word “right” speaks of God’s righteousness. Everything that God does comes out of righteousness.
Paul wrote to the Romans, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” (Rom. 14:17, KJV).
When humanity is ready to be consecrated to the Lord, He will connect with us and move in this hour of need through His righteousness.
The curse of death is consuming our world, from COVID-19, the flu, alcohol, drugs, abortion and many other attacks of the enemy. These things plague our nation, but there is hope!
I pray that we will again humble ourselves before God and be real with Him. We have all fallen short of God’s glory.
I am saved and forgiven, but I see a world that is lost.
The change will only come when we are real with God, and we ask Him for righteousness to rise, for in His righteousness is healing for the nations.
God bless America, land that I love.
You’re beautiful. I see Jesus in you.
Have a great week. {eoa}
