Where are the dread champions You promised Your church?
Where are the crazy, no-holds-barred, no risk too great, no prize too small, ‘if You say it I will do it’ champions who challenge the masses with zeal too bright to contain, passion too great to fit into the boxes and walls of churches built with small-minded dreams and not fortresses of kingdom expansion?
Where are the ones who will give it all and not count the cost as anything lost? Where are the ones who will command demons to flee, call hearts to life, heal the sick and free the chained? The ones who run into darkness because they heard the cry of the lost, who don’t back down from a fight because their friends didn’t show but will give it all even if they follow You alone?
Where are the dread champions? Where are the dread champions who will face down Jezebel’s wrath and ride the chariot of Your presence with reckless abandon? Where are the ones who refuse to back down when Herod takes heads and the political spirit tries to muzzle truth?
Where are the ones who will rise with faith in their hearts and love in their heads, bursting through the resistance, breakers and shakers, prophets and preachers, evangelists and singers, who have lost sight of the world and only see You? Where are those who are blind to the world, eunuchs to its allures, deaf to its sound, numb to its false pleasures? Where are the doers of deeds, the workers of wonders, the miracle releasers, the history writers, the nation shakers, the answer of Your heart?
Where are the dread champions? It is time they arise. {eoa}
