We traded the over-scheduled lives we juggled before 2020, to over-taxed lives in a year of unprecedented uncertainty and change. Many of us feel tired, overwhelmed, even numb.
But it doesn’t have to be that way—we can live blessed and astounded by God. In this episode of the Make Life Matter podcast, Angela Donadio shares 3 keys to experience the life you’re longing for.
Stay Aware
This has to do with our perspective. We stay aware when we are “attentive” or “mindful.” Our perspective, or perception, is the way we look at a situation or view our circumstances. We often miss what God wants to show us or miss God-moments simply because we’re simply not looking for them. As you read the Word, connect the dots to your everyday life.
Seek God for His perspective and anticipate unexpected insights. Look for God’s fingerprints in everyday moments. Be observant—He may be trying to get your attention through those simple moments that tug on your arm to take notice.
Stay Available
This has to do with our posture. We stay available when we choose a posture of obedience and surrender. Unsettling situations are often set-ups for divine appointments. They are also opportunities to work on our heart posture of availability.
We have to get close enough to God’s heart to settle our own. I pray these devotions also encourage you to adopt spiritual principles and implement the practice of spiritual disciplines into your daily life like—prayer, worship, rest, gratitude and sharing your faith. Allow God to reset the rhythms of your life.
Stay Astounded
This has to do with our purpose. A life of purpose is a life set-apart for God—not living for ourselves, but living to love God and serve others. A life of purpose is a life blessed by God—fulfilled because we trust Him completely. A life of purpose is marked by God— knowing that God had a place for us before we found our place.
