In 2020, hundreds of years after the first Great Awakening, revivalists still need to encourage one another. And that is exactly what Dr. Jamie Morgan wants to do on this episode of Fire Starters on the Charisma Podcast Network.
She says, “A revivalist is not someone that creates revival. We can’t lather up revival. We can’t put a sign on the front door of the church or outside on the lawn of the church and say, ‘This weekend is revival.’ That doesn’t make a revival. We know that only God sends revival.”
So if God is the only one who can bring revival, what does it truly mean to be called to be a revivalist? How are you to know what giftings to look out for?
There are a few questions Dr. Morgan suggests to ponder:
—Do you hunger and thirst for the God of revival?
—Do you anguish over the backslidden condition of the church, over the carnality that you see, the worldliness you see in churches around America as well as around the world?
—Are you willing to pay any price to contend for revival?
If you feel you’re called to fan the flame of revival, unlock the rest of these characteristics by listening to the full podcast here. {eoa}
