And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh…And I will show wonders in heaven above…—Acts 2:17, 19
This is a wonderful scripture, and many do not understand it. There is a certain time spoken of here, when certain great and wonderful things shall take place and people shall know that prophecy is being fulfilled. “It shall come to pass in the last days, I will pour out My Spirit,” and there shall be signs in the heavens and the earth—signs of His coming.
This prophecy was first spoken eight hundred years before Jesus came to earth. Peter, standing up on the day of Pentecost, confirmed it. Under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, on fire with the Holy Ghost from head to foot, he said these things would come to pass in the last days.
We believe and know by the Word of God, and by the signs, that we are now living in the last days; the very times Peter spoke about when we were to know by the mighty things taking place. We are the people, and this is the time just before the “notable day of the Lord” bursts upon the world. We believe we are the people, yea we know it.
Almighty God, how I rejoice in the outpouring
