America is truly a divided nation, but the things that divide us may not be exactly what you think.
Many times we look at someone’s physical appearance and automatically think they are against us. We may see someone and see they are definitely in a lower or higher social class then we are or maybe they voted for a different political party than we did.
We are truly a divided nation. It seems that a huge portion of the news is all about division. The news has turned into more of a drama showcase than any reality show or soap opera could have ever been. Watch the news and you’ll see just how much America is divided by race, religion, social status, gender, gay or straight, Elephant or Donkey or even urban versus rural lifestyles. Mark 3:25 says, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” America is so divided on many fronts rights now, but God has a plan!
Always remember what the Word of God says: “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12, MEV).
People think they are fighting people and political parties and genders. This is a spiritual battle! Yet most people will gauge all things through how they see them from their natural eye.
Proverbs 3:5 admonishes us to, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” We must learn to lean not on the natural sight to see what’s going on in the world around us, but rely on our spiritual eyes and ears to perceive and understand what God is saying in every situation or circumstance in life.
Too many times we take things at face value but God has a greater plan. John the beloved disciple laid his head on Jesus Christ’s chest—he knew the heartbeat of Christ. We need to know the times and seasons we are in, like the sons Issachar. The sons of Issachar had analyzed their times and had perceived correctly what those times were all about. They knew what to do because they understood and saw what was really going on.
“From the sons of Issachar, those having understanding of times and what Israel should do: two hundred of their captains with all their brothers at their command” (1 Chron. 12:32, MEV).
Throughout the history of ancient Israel, the tribe of Issachar is portrayed as a family that was destined to prosper both physically and spiritually. The ancient Rabbis taught that the sons of Issachar were not only “mighty men of valor” but they were also called to serve the other tribes in the areas of finance and the ministry of God’s Torah.
The ones that hear God and know Him will always lead the ones who don’t. We must always stand on and for the Word of God! The world around us may seem like it’s going crazy, but I hear the voice of God saying hang on I’m about to revive you again America!
“For the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine, but they will gather to themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires, having itching ears” (2 Tim. 4:3, MEV).
Don’t be afraid of the false prophets spitting out threats and demands. Listen to the voice of your heavenly Father. I still believe in an awakening coming to America that will drive us to unity. Psalm 133:1 declares: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (NIV). Right now people in America are living foolishly and without cause, but the Word says in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (MEV).
Peter told his spiritual son Titus, “We also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various desires and pleasures, living in evil and envy, filled with hatred and hating each other. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward mankind appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of rebirth and the renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, being justified by His grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:3-7, MEV). We are to be the light of God to a dark and dying world.
I love these two Scriptures in the Book of John: John 1:5 says, “The light shines in darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it” and John 8:12 says, “Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.'”
We must remember who we are in Jesus: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may declare the goodness of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light” (1 Peter 2:9, MEV).
When God sets someone free they are free like it says in Ephesians 5:8, “For you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”
God has a plan for unity for the American church and don’t live in fear for what you are seeing, but rather let’s live in Faith. John 10:10 reminds us, “The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” When the enemy throws something at America remember God has a much powerful answer. Things may seem to be getting worse in the natural, but know that we are about to experience an awakening in the American church. The sleeping giant, the American church is about to be awakened!
