As we enter the Hebrew month of Kislev, we prepare for the Hanukkah season—a time of remembering the Light of the world, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah!
It is interesting that in preparation for the Hanukkah season, the Lord gave me a word for this month of Kislev—a word of both warning and of hope.
Kislev is a month of darkness—a month when we experience shorter daylight hours in the natural. But during this time, God is speaking to the body of Christ saying that when we look deeper into the spiritual realm, we see that He is sending a flame of hope in the midst of darkness. That flame is the flame of His glory—the fire of the Holy Spirit!
The glory of God is going to be released, shining brightly during this month of darkness. Darkness will cover the earth but things are about to be exposed by a flame of hope. Things that have been trying to destroy God’s people, His covenants and His promises will be brought into the light.
Here is what the Lord said to me:
“Enough is enough! What you could not take care of, I am taking care of between now and Hanukkah.”
So, what are we to do with this word?
We need to understand the Hanukkah story and have the heart of the Maccabees.
Judah Maccabee, the third son of Mattathias the Hasmonean, a Jewish priest from the small town of Modi’in, did not comprise his faith. He had a heart that honored the Lord.
His family brought a small army together against the Greek ruler, Antiochus IV.
This Greek ruler wanted to be God. He was a fake god with fake and deceptive information. He had an anti-Christ spirit on him and was out to oppress the Jewish people. He got to some but not all—not the remnant army.
The Maccabees stood firm. They had a plan; they had courage; they understood the power of the light of the temple and fought to restore it when it had been defiled. They lit the temple menorah and they came to see the manifestation of God’s miraculous power as the oil that was only thought to last one day… lasted for eight!
They were awakened and so the church needs to awaken now! God’s house was meant to be a house of prayer for all nations and God is now calling us to do the same in the midst of this dark season, in this month of Kislev.
Commissioning and Prepping Remnant Warriors
As we prepare for Hanukkah, let us be awakened to the work the Lord is doing in the body of Christ. He is commissioning, equipping and preparing remnant warriors in this nation with a spiritual strategy to cut through the darkness with the fiery flame of the Holy Spirit.
The things of this world will be shaken. People will be shocked. But He has a plan.
Declare the Flame of Hope!
Let us come together and declare that we have the Holy Spirit, the flame of hope, in this season of darkness.
“Holy Spirit, come with fire. Baptize us now afresh for this season of darkness that we might hear, see and know the ways of God. We invite You in. You are welcome in this temple.
“We trust You, Holy Spirit, to light the way, just as the middle candle of the Hanukkiah, the menorah used at Hanukkah, is representative of Yeshua and lights the way. We shall not fear because You are with us, Lord. We are more than conquerors in Jesus. We have the authority and we seal this. In Yeshua’s name—Amen!”
Let us move forward with a bold flame in the season of darkness! {eoa}
