In late November and early December, I heard two phrases from the Holy Spirit regarding the new year. I clearly heard “a season of miracles” and the Holy Spirit prompted me to look at Galatians 3:5, “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith?”
According to Strong’s Concordance, the word ministereth in the Greek is epichoregeo and means abundant, lavish supply—the cost fully covered. I was shocked to see that the corresponding number in Strong’s is 2023. The Holy Spirit bore strong witness to me that 2023 will be a year where the body of Christ will come into awareness of what that supply actually means, and that this is a year where there will be an orchestration of events requiring a supernatural move of God, an abundant supply of His Spirit.
We are in a time where the kingdoms are clashing, where the enemy’s plans are coalescing in power, but GOD is far above and much more powerful, and 2023 will be a year of seeing the miraculous to overthrow the powers of darkness.
The word epichoregeo is also the word used in Colossians 2:19, “And not holding the head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God,” revealing supply bringing increase to kingdom operation.
It is also used in 2 Corinthians 9:10, “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for [your] food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;” showing that there is a supply for our natural and spiritual needs.
A few days prior to hearing “a season of miracles” Holy Spirit spoke something to me that I believe will be necessary for the times ahead. I heard the phrase “panim el panim. This phrase means face to face in the Hebrew language, and was first spoken by Jacob in Genesis 32:30 after he wrestled with God (or, some believe, an angel): “… I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”
