Recently, prophetic voice Perry Stone had an unusual dream which he believes is a warning about societal unrest coming to our nation. The dream focused on Walmart, storms and people scrambling in fear—yet it carried a powerful spiritual message about faith, preparation and divine protection.
In the dream, Stone observed two narrow tornadoes forming in the distance. Suddenly, a much larger hurricane-like storm began to turn and move in the direction of the valley he was watching. However, the storm was not the only element of this dream. As he described it, “I began to realize that I was now watching activity not in a Walmart store, but it dealt with Walmart. And when I looked, I saw people just scampering. They were scampering as though to buy things… but they weren’t paying much attention to anybody but their own emotions.” Among them were individuals living in tents, vulnerable and unprepared, highlighting the deep human need for security during crises.

As the storm approached, Stone led people to a massive rock, instructing them to “build like a fortress and encircle, but let this rock be the center of it.” This rock symbolized Christ, the ultimate refuge. While the storm seemed overwhelming, it eventually dissipated, sparing the people from total destruction. He reflected, “The rock, which is Christ, was our security… people who have faith, people that trust God, but people who also know that they must secure themselves in these last days in Christ.”
Stone believes that his dream carried clear symbolism with practical applications. The tornadoes and hurricane represent both literal and figurative chaos—economic, societal or natural. Walmart symbolized the centers of daily life where people seek provision, reflecting the reality of fear-driven behavior in times of shortage or crisis. The scrambling crowds serve as a warning that fear and selfishness can take hold when preparation and guidance are lacking.
The dream also emphasized a vital spiritual principle: faith without works is dead. Stone shared, “…faith without works is dead… you all better get to safety. You need some security. You need safety.” Trusting God alone is not enough; action and preparation are necessary. Building around the rock illustrates the balance between spiritual reliance and practical steps for safety, urging believers to protect themselves and their communities during uncertain times.
In light of current events, including concerns over food distribution, government assistance and potential social unrest, this dream offers both a warning and hope. While crises may arise suddenly, they do not have to lead to total devastation. By anchoring ourselves in Christ, preparing responsibly, and supporting one another, we can navigate turbulent times with wisdom and peace.

In these last days, let this vision serve as a reminder: anchor your life in Christ, act with wisdom and help others find shelter and safety in Him. Faith without action leaves us exposed, but faith coupled with preparation provides protection, guidance and hope amidst the coming storms.
