Amid the chaos, a native African man appeared crossing a river with his possessions, aided by others—a symbol of resilience and communal support.
Uys interpreted the flooding as a symbol of transformation and cleansing. “A flood is something that brings transformation. It’s something that brings cleansing,” he explained, emphasizing that the sudden, violent nature of the event reflects the urgency of God’s intervention.
