Is New York City—long considered hostile to Christianity—about to become a catalyst for global revival?

Evangelist Mario Murillo says yes, and the timing, he insists, is not random.

During a recent episode of It’s Supernatural!, host Sid Roth opened with a question that has troubled many observers: “Why the rapid increase of anti-Semitism worldwide? Why now?” Roth believes the answer is not merely political, but prophetic. According to him, the world is entering “the greatest harvest field in history,” and yet “few Christians know the mystery law of evangelism.”

Roth declared that 2026 will be remembered as “the year of harvest,” even calling it “the most wonderful year for the kingdom of God.” But he wanted to know what Murillo—whom he described as “one of the most trusted voices…when it comes to prophecy”—was hearing from the Lord.

Murillo didn’t hesitate: “Massive salvations among the young. Massive.” He pointed to early signs already emerging, saying, “We haven’t seen anything yet… It’s about to explode.” Murillo believes the United States is poised for a second Jesus Movement and revealed that his team is investing heavily into reaching Gen Z. “Jesus said to us in 2026 there will be another Jesus movement in the United States and you have to be ready to bring in the harvest,” he said.

What may surprise many is where Murillo believes the awakening will strike first: areas typically associated with secularism, crime or hostility toward the gospel—regions many Christians have already written off.

“God is going to flip the script…in the blue states that supposedly hate God,” Murillo prophesied. “You will see it in Dearborn, Michigan. You will see it in the West Coast. You will see it in New York City…in that region around the five boroughs.” He added, “There’s going to be an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in 2026, and the media will try to ignore it, but the young will be the ones that will run it.”

When Roth asked whether such a transformation could really happen in places like New York—where hostility toward Christianity is often assumed—Murillo reminded viewers that sudden conversions have always been part of biblical history. He pointed to the transformation of Saul of Tarsus, arguing: “How do we even assess the impact of that? So how can we look at God and say that’s not possible in the modern era?”

Murillo calls the coming wave of young believers the “Lazarus generation”—youth who have been spiritually dead, yet suddenly awakened. Their conversions, he insists, “are not explainable.” Many, he says, will become bold witnesses who confront cultural sins such as abortion with unshakable conviction: “There’s going to be… the most vociferous, loud condemnation of abortion from the young that you have ever seen.”

Both Roth and Murillo agreed that this emerging movement will not be passive or quiet. It will be supernatural, evangelistic, Spirit-filled—and it will shock the cities least expected.

“Evil is intensifying,” Murillo said, “but so is the clarity of the gospel.”
