In a recent prophetic teaching, evangelist and author Perry Stone shared a compelling vision from Pastor Jentezen Franklin on what would happen next when the great Jimmy Swaggart would pass away.
According to Stone, Franklin says he was awakened by the sound of rain pouring outside, and began hearing God speak directly to him. Stone said, “The Lord began to speak to him, and it was the most unusual thing…”

Franklin, sensing the weight of the moment, instructed his wife to “turn a light on and get a pen and write down everything I’m saying. Don’t even ask me any questions.” Stone summarized the essence of this prophetic message: God had raised up a great man of God to bring the message of the Holy Spirit to the world, but that work was only part of a larger plan. The divine vision, Franklin reported, revealed an unprecedented outpouring of the Spirit yet to come—a revival that would sweep across generations, filling stadiums with young people hungry for the Holy Spirit.
Jimmy Swaggart: A Trigger for Revival
Central to this message was the spiritual significance of Jimmy Swaggart’s passing. Franklin’s prophetic vision had indicated that the departure of Swaggart would serve as a catalyst—or what Stone referred to as a “triggering point”—for this great move of God. Stone explained, “When my servant Jimmy Swaggart comes home to be with Me, this will be the triggering point.”
This prophetic vision focused on Joel 2, which speaks of God pouring out His Spirit upon all flesh in the last days. Stone highlighted that the coming revival would be selective: churches and ministers that reject the work of the Spirit would be excluded, while those that embrace Him would be included. “Every minister and church that has welcomed my spirit, welcomed my gifts, welcomed my presence with worship, I’ll allow them to receive what’s about to happen,” Stone recounted from Franklin’s prophetic words.
The Impact of Charlie Kirk’s Passing
While Swaggart’s passing served as the prophetic trigger, Stone also acknowledged the influence of Charlie Kirk’s death in mobilizing youth globally. He described Kirk as a figure whose passing—though intended for harm by spiritual forces—was transformed by God to produce salvation and revival on an international scale. Stone emphasized, “If what happened to Charlie is what Satan meant for evil, God meant for good. Many people are going to be saved as a result of this.”
As Stone pointed out, this new movement is not tied to a single organization or denomination but thrives through individual leaders empowered by the Holy Spirit. Stone stressed that this revival will continue to build momentum, inspiring a generation of forerunners who will boldly proclaim repentance and the nearness of the kingdom of heaven.

“The youth are coming hungry to be filled with the Holy Spirit,” Stone said. “What you’re about to see is stadiums filled with young people… a revival bigger than the Jesus Movement of the 60s and 70s. This is just the beginning.”

True revival and spiritual awakening must include the full gospel witness as revealed through the ministry of Jesus and the early disciples. In other words, Christians must be filled with the Holy Spirit and demonstrate both the power of the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.
There is no other way than the Bible way. Those churches and professed Christian groups who deny the simple face-value teachings of the Word of God and the message of spiritual power as taught by Jesus, such as cessationists, will only produce a powerless , dry, spiritual confusion among their followers.
Thank God for what He is doing by His Spirit in our young people today, We need to encourage them to seek God with all their hearts and follow His wisdom for the spiritual awakening that we believe is happening.
This is what I am doing as an eighty-six-year-old. I do not believe in retiring from ministry,
