Are you prepared for what’s coming in 2026?
As the nation barrels toward unprecedented technological expansion, media host Glenn Beck is sounding an alarm he believes America cannot afford to ignore. During a recent broadcast, Beck warned that the country is on the verge of a catastrophic energy crisis—one that he says is already beginning to unfold.
From the outset, Beck underscored that the push for solar energy—particularly in rural regions—is not the solution politicians claim it to be. One caller from upstate New York described the state’s aggressive solar farm expansion as “a land grab to take our best farmland,” even encroaching on state-designated protected grasslands. Beck agreed, saying plainly: “The solar thing does not work.”
But the deeper issue, Beck argues, is not solar—it is America’s rapidly expanding energy demand, especially from AI and data centers. And that, he says, is about to push the country into a crisis.

On his recent prediction special, Beck stated, “I think 2026 is going to be the first year that we see things like Texas having rolling brownouts for a week at a time.” He warned that by the end of 2025 and into 2026, the American power grid will face pressures the public has never seen in modern history. “You’re going to start to see the strain on the grid in ways that you would never have expected in the United States.”
Just days after recording that prediction, Beck says new data confirmed his fears. According to figures he cites from the Associated Press, the load demand on the Texas energy grid jumped from 63 gigawatts in December 2024 to more than 230 gigawatts just one year later. More than 70% of that surge comes from data centers powering artificial intelligence.
“The grids are already at the breaking point,” Beck warned. “They’re old. They’re brittle. They’re not prepared for what we have to do.”
He noted that even with efforts to fast-track nuclear power plants, America will not be able to build them fast enough to keep up with demand—especially when data centers require enormous power that cannot simply be fed through aging grid lines.
Beck believes this looming crisis will become the “Achilles’ heel” of the current administration as well as any future Democratic administration. But beyond politics, he sees it as part of a larger societal shaking that will stretch into the next several years.
“The world is going to change in such profound ways between now and 2028,” Beck said. He emphasized that believers must prepare spiritually for upheaval, not just practically or financially. “Forget your money, forget everything else. You have to be spiritually in tune… You have to be rock solid in who you are, what it means to be human, what it means to be alive.”
His final message was urgent—part warning, part plea.
“Warning, it’s coming. Please, please pay attention to those things that are meaningful.”
