In a recent podcast, Pastor Jack Hibbs dove into one of Scripture’s most intriguing mysteries: the Antichrist. With boldness and a focus on biblical truth, Hibbs unpacked Revelation 13 and the book of Daniel, revealing how prophecy might intersect with our world today.
“Will the Jews be accepting a Muslim Antichrist? I don’t think so. Will the Jews be receiving a Jewish Messiah, a false Christ? It’s possible, but it seems as though he’ll be a very savvy Gentile,” Hibbs explains, emphasizing that the Antichrist will not regard “the God of his fathers.”
He suggests the Antichrist is likely a Gentile with some Jewish connection: “I personally believe that he is a somewhat of a Gentile with some sort of Jewish access. I’ll leave it at that.”
The Antichrist: Master of Intrigue
Hibbs clarifies that the Antichrist is not a currently famous political figure and that he will be incredibly clever. “The Antichrist is going to be dangerously persuasive, cunning… Daniel tells us that he’s going to be a man of intrigue. He’ll be able to solve… puzzles.”

He also notes how the Antichrist will rise during a time of global perplexity. “Jesus tells us that the world will be in a state of perplexity with no way out. That’s when the Antichrist comes on the scene and answers the economic and political woes of the world. And people will love him… they’ll worship him.”
The False Prophet and the Breath of Technology
Hibbs then turns to the second beast, the false prophet: a religious leader who glorifies the Antichrist. “He performs great signs… And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs…”
Hibbs then drew a parallel to modern technology: “Think about AI right now. Think about the image as some sort of idol… This machine… appears to have a breath. It says that the second beast… appears to give it a breath so that it would both speak… and act like it’s alive.”
The Mark of the Beast and 666
A central part of Hibbs’ discussion is the mark of the beast. “He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. And no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast… or the number of his name.”
The significance of the number 666 is obvious: “The number of a man, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666… 666 is a man making himself out to be God.” Hibbs notes the stark contrast with Christ: “The number of Christ is seven, 777. 666 is man elevating himself to God.”
The Rise from Obscurity
Hibbs then looked at some of Daniel’s visions from the Old Testament to explain the global context of the Antichrist’s rise: “Out of the 10… rulers, there’s going to be 10 rulers in the future that run the globe… The Antichrist, he’s not even in the group. He doesn’t even appear. He’s like a nobody. And it says out of the 10, he’s going to arise… and he will subdue… he will take three. Out of the 10, there are three predominant leaders… The 11th horn rises up, takes out all the others… and rises to power. He’s the Antichrist.”
Hibbs emphasizes the mystery surrounding his identity: “Could it be possible that the Antichrist is alive somewhere today? It’s possible. Will I know who he is? Nope. I’m fully convinced the Bible teaches me I won’t know who he is. If I do know who he is, I’m going to know that in heaven. I’m not going to know it on earth.”
A Call to Vigilance
Ultimately, Hibbs urges believers to remain grounded in Scripture and active in God’s work: “Stand true. Keep looking up for Jesus. In the meantime, do everything that you possibly can for good and be busy about our Father’s business. And when Christ returns… make sure you get caught being busy about our Father’s business, which is presenting the gospel and standing for righteousness.”
