A woman from Little Rock, Arkansas, is facing 20 years of jailtime for the murder of a pastor with whom she had an affair.
According to local Arkansas outlet 4029 News, Latoshia Daniels has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the 2019 murder of Pastor Bodes Perry after he ended their affair.
Daniels shot and killed Perry after driving from Little Rock to Tennessee. Perry’s wife was also shot and injured at the scene. Perry was a pastor at the Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church in Memphis.

In her court statement, 4029 News said that Daniels told the Perry family, “I pray that all of you guys will forgive me, but please know I never meant for any of this to happen…To the Perry family, no words can express the pain that I feel, nor will they ever take away the pain that you feel. But I wanted to say to you, I am godly sorrowful.”
Memphis-based news outlet Fox 13 noted that Daniels will serve a 20-year sentence for killing Bodes Perry and a concurrent sentence of 11 months and 29 days for reckless endangerment for harming his wife, Tabatha Archie.
ABC 24 also shared that Daniels was both a licensed social worker and a certified anger management specialist.
This tragic case leaves behind a grieving family, a wounded congregation and lasting consequences for everyone involved. As Daniels begins her sentence, the Perry family continues to carry the weight of their loss — a sobering reminder of the human cost at the center of this case.
