President Donald Trump spoke to the United Nations regarding the threats against both Christianity and the nation of Israel.
“I hope that all countries who find inspiration in our example will join us in renewing our commitment… let us defend free speech, free expression,” Trump said. “Let us protect religious liberty, including for the most persecuted religion on the planet today. It’s called Christianity.”

The president also stood up for the nation of Israel, bringing criticism to the countries who voted for the creation of a Palestinian State.
“I have been deeply engaged in seeking a ceasefire in Gaza,” Trump said, according to Fox News. “You have to get it done.”
“Unfortunately, Hamas has repeatedly rejected reasonable offers to make peace,” he continued. “We can’t forget Oct. 7, can we? Now, as if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state…this would be a reward for these horrible atrocities, including Oct. 7.”
As Fox noted, Trump further discussed the need for the Israeli hostages to be released by Hamas to ensure peace across the world.
“Instead of giving in to Hamas as ransom demands, those who want peace should be united with one message: release the hostages now. Just release the hostages.”

In delivering this message to the United Nations, President Trump once again positioned himself as a leader striving for justice and reconciliation on the global stage—a modern-day figure in the prophetic sense, called to pursue peace while standing firmly for righteousness. His insistence on protecting religious freedom, defending Israel and demanding the release of hostages reflects not only political leadership but also a moral and spiritual mandate to defend the defenseless.
