A mentally ill mother of eight was allegedly beaten to death by an exorcist.
The Moroccan woman’s relatives believed she was possessed by evil spirits and scheduled several sessions with a fqih, or exorcist, according to Moroccan World News.
The fqih recited portions of the Quran and had assistants beat the woman with sticks to “force the devil out,” according to the Daily Mail.
The family members believed she was possessed by jinns, or the Islamic term for demons.
