The DOJ’s New Transgender Sensitivity Training Video Is Going Viral

A new video is encouraging sensitivity training for police officers.

The U.S. Department of Justice recently released a sensitivity training video which instructs police officers on how to accommodate transgender individuals. The video outlines everything from asking which gender pronoun is preferred to which bathroom individuals should be allowed to use.

Sgt. Brett Parson narrates the video: “Transgender people are just trying to be their true selves and live their lives as members of our communities just like anyone else. As law enforcement officers, we must make every effort to collaborate and learn from the transgender community so we can better serve others today and in the future.”

Check out the video and judge for yourself. What do you think of the DOJ’s newest initiative?
