The president is doubling down on his stance to protect Christians all over the globe.
In a video statement, the president addressed the ongoing persecution of Christians across the world, stating that America will not stand by and watch as atrocities happen. He then declared that Nigeria is now a Country of Particular Concern (CPC).

“Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria,” the president said. “Thousands and thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I’m hereby making Nigeria a Country of Particular Concern…whether Christians or any such group is slaughtered, liking is happening in Nigeria…something has to be done.”

He then asked for Rep. Riley Moore (R-WV) to look into the matter and report back to him immediately.
“The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening in Nigeria and numerous other countries,” he said. “It’s not only Nigeria. It’s all over. We stand ready, willing and able to save our great Christian population around the world.”
The president then said, “This is not going to happen. The killing of Christians is not going to happen.”
Trump has repeatedly made it clear that the ongoing genocide of Christians in Nigeria must come to an end.
In an interview with Fox News, Clint Lyons, the co-founder of iReach Global, said that since Trump’s insistence for Nigeria to end these heinous murders that their government was “starting to snap in line… against some of these terrorist forces.”
