Peyton Manning’s toasting to his wife, kids, God and beer after his big Super Bowl win.
“I’m going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight, Tracy, I promise you that,” the quarterback said after his 24-10 victory against the Panthers.
“I’m going to take care of those things first and definitely going to say a little prayer and thank the man upstairs for this great opportunity,” Manning said.
Despite his answers about prayer, the Inquisitr’s Art Mitchell says Manning “just disappointed Christians everywhere.”
“However, his matter-of-fact confirmation that he would be drinking ‘lots’ of Budweiser did not go with the picture of sensibility and moderation that Christians like to think they are known for. It implied drunkenness, a big no-no in the Bible,” Mitchell writes.
