One Oklahoma pastor is recovering after being stabbed inside of the Pryor Creek Church of Christ.
According to ABC News Channel 8 in Tulsa, the police in Pyror Creek responded to a call last week when a pastor was allegedly attacked by a woman with a dagger. Two other church members helped the pastor disarm and repress the attacker while they waited for authorities to arrive.
As the outlet noted, the pastor was wounded in his hand, and is expected to have surgery on it. He also had stitches on his chin as well.
In a post to Facebook, Pryor Creek Police Chief Jeremy Cantrell wrote:
Upon arrival, officers located an active physical altercation inside the church. An adult staff member sustained injuries, including lacerations, and was provided immediate medical care before being transported to a Tulsa-area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An adult female was taken into custody following officer intervention and was transported to the Mayes County Jail on a federal hold after medical evaluation.
He also noted that because of “the suspect’s tribal status, the investigation has been referred to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.”
During this time, continue to lift up the pastor in prayer to make a full recovery.
