Occult Man Allegedly Killed Toddler Because He Thought She Was a Demon

Michael Patrick McCarthy (R) and Rachelle Bond, 40, mother of the 2-1/2-year-old girl Bella Bond
A man heavily involved in the occult is accused of killing a toddler because she was a demon.

Michael McCarthy pleaded not guilty to the murder of 2-year-old Bella Bond, whose remains washed ashore in a bag in the Boston Harbor in 2015. The media named her “Baby Doe” until McCarthy confirmed the remains belonged to Bella.

“She just died. It was her time. She was a demon,” McCarthy said, according to prosecutors.

Defense attorneys say Bella’s mother, Rachelle Bond, was the one who was actually obsessed with the occult and projected her delusions onto her boyfriend at the time.

Bond reportedly used to speculate on the whereabouts of missing children who never returned home.

“That’s because the leaders of every country get together and torture and rape and kill these innocent children every year just so they can drink their blood and eat their flesh, so that these reptilian demons can have a moment’s sanity,” Bond’s diary reads, according to the defense attorney.

Bond admitted this week that she lied about her whereabouts after her daughter’s murder in order to keep her home and purchase heroin, The Boston Globe reports. She says she didn’t report McCarthy for fear he would kill her, too.

Bond says she saw McCarthy fatally attack Bella. The couple then threw her remains into a duffel and tossed it into the Boston Harbor. {eoa}
