In a striking address to the foreign press, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly emphasized the pivotal role of President Donald Trump in the ongoing military campaign against Iran—Operation Roaring Lion—framing the effort as both strategic and deeply aligned between the two nations.

From the outset, Netanyahu made it clear that this is not merely a joint effort, but one shaped by Trump’s decisive leadership. “Under President Trump’s visionary leadership, America and Israel are acting together in Iran with great determination and unprecedented strength,” Netanyahu declared.

Throughout his remarks, Netanyahu pushed back against narratives suggesting that Israel influenced the United States’ involvement in the conflict. Instead, he praised Trump’s independence and conviction.

“Does anyone really think that someone can tell President Trump what to do?” Netanyahu said. “Come on. President Trump always makes his decisions on what he thinks is good for America.”

He went further, suggesting that Trump’s decisions are not only rooted in present concerns but also in long-term global stability. “May I add,” Netanyahu continued, “I think what is also good for future generations.”

The alignment between the U.S. and Israel is not coincidental—it is the result of a shared understanding of the threat posed by Iran. Netanyahu pointed out that Trump has recognized this danger for decades.

“You know who else said that?” Netanyahu asked, referring to warnings about Iran. “President Trump.”

He then recounted a personal interaction that he said reveals Trump’s clarity on the issue. “I went to see him in Mar-a-Lago. The first thing he said to me was, ‘Bibi, we’ve got to make sure that Iran doesn’t have nuclear weapons.’ He said that to me. I didn’t say it to him.”

Netanyahu emphasized that Trump required no persuasion on the matter. “He didn’t need any convincing there either,” he said, reinforcing the idea that Trump’s stance on Iran has been consistent and deeply held.

The Israeli leader also highlighted Trump’s past actions, specifically referencing his decision to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal. “He said the Iranian nuclear deal was the worst deal that he’d ever seen, and he walked out of it,” Netanyahu noted.

As the operation unfolds, Netanyahu described the coordination between the two nations as highly synchronized and effective. “Together in close coordination with President Trump… our militaries, our intelligence services, we’re achieving goals in lightning speed,” he said.

But perhaps Netanyahu’s strongest statement came at the conclusion, where he framed Trump’s role in global terms.

“The world owes a debt of deep indebtedness… to President Trump for leading this effort to safeguard our future,” Netanyahu said.

He added that while many world leaders recognize this privately, he is willing to say it openly—suggesting that the implications of this moment extend far beyond Israel and the United States.

For both Netanyahu and the world, this is not just about geopolitics or military success. It is about confronting a threat endangering the entire world.
