Iran launched a new wave of missile strikes against Israel, marking a sharp escalation after issuing a direct warning to President Donald Trump and U.S. allies, as reported by the Daily Mail.

A source tied to Iran’s state-run Fars News Agency declared, “Tonight, special events are planned for Tel Aviv and some regional allies of the U.S. and Israel that will completely remove the hope of negotiations from the minds of the aggressors.”

Hours later, missiles were fired toward southern Israel, striking near Eilat, Dimona and Yeruham. Residents in the Jerusalem area reported loud explosions as the attacks unfolded.

The escalation comes as Israel has already seen missile fragments land near the Temple Mount in recent strikes, underscoring how volatile the situation has become. The world now stands one errant missile away from a direct strike on one of the most contested and spiritually significant sites on earth, a scenario that could ignite immediate and uncontrollable regional pandemonium.

The strikes followed Trump’s warning of potential U.S. action against Iran’s energy infrastructure. He issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face renewed strikes on key power sites.

At the same time, Trump pointed to a possible diplomatic breakthrough, saying, “If upcoming talks go well the war could end within a week,” before adding a stark warning: “Otherwise, we’ll just keep bombing our little hearts out.”

Iranian officials pushed back, insisting that even if the conflict ends, “the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will not return to the pre-war situation,” signaling a lasting shift in the region.

State-controlled Iranian media also claimed Trump “backed down” from immediate strikes, portraying the pause as a response to Iran’s threats.

The situation remains highly volatile, with missile fire, threats of expanded war and fragile negotiations all unfolding at once across the Middle East.

Scripture commands, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Ps. 122:6). In this critical hour, lift up Israel, its people and its leaders. Ask for God’s protection over Jerusalem, for restraint amid rising tensions and for peace to prevail over the threat of wider war.
