The Chick-fil-A saga has galvanized the body of Christ, with Christian leaders from many spiritual flows backing up president and Chief Operating Officer Dan Cathy’s stance on the biblical definition of marriage.
From Mike Huckabee to Billy Graham and beyond, thousands who follow Christ are joining the Chick-fil-A appreciation bandwagon. Chick-fil-A even has one of the world’s largest prayer movements behind it.
“When I saw Billy Graham take his stand in support of a righteous man and his Chick-fil-A restaurant as they publicly upheld God’s glorious design for marriage I knew that I must take this stand as well,” said Lou Engle, cofounder of TheCall and a leader at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.
“Today I gladly join Mike Huckabee, Mike Bickle and many leaders across this nation to support Mr. Cathy, I am encouraging friends of TheCall to patronize the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Wednesday, August 1st as a public statement of support. And then after you do so, you will probably want to keep supporting them because the chicken is really good! Ask my family.”
