Gateway Church has officially turned the page to their next chapter.
In a special Aug. 17 commissioning service of their new lead pastor, Daniel Floyd, Gateway Church honored his obedience and dedication to take them into a new and prosperous season.
Elder Tra Willbanks recounted how the Lord was faithful to keep His promise of bringing in the right person to lead the megachurch.

“From the start of our conversations [with Daniel] there was an immediate connection,” Willbanks said. “I knew instantly that this was someone I wanted to be friends with regardless of where our conversations might lead.”

As Fort Worth Report noted, Floyd took note of the honor and privilege it is to become the lead pastor of Gateway.
“It’s a significant day. It’s a day where we turn the page and we begin to write a new story. But it’s also not the day that we erase the other chapters…I just want you to know that your prayers aren’t wasted,” he said.
Floyd is certain that the Lord who started the good work through in His people at Gateway will bring it into fulfillment.
“I believe that in the days ahead we’re going to continue to see the faithfulness of God. That He who began the good work in you and in this church will complete the good work,” Floyd said.
Gateway’s new chapter under Pastor Daniel Floyd is more than a leadership transition—it is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and a reminder that His story for His people is still unfolding. As the church steps into this new season, they do so with confidence that the same God who guided them through past victories will also carry them into future promises.
