Sylvia Driskell isn’t about to sit back and wait for a verdict regarding same-sex marriage. Instead, the 66-year-old woman has filed a lawsuit against all gay people.
Calling herself an ambassador for both God and Jesus Christ, Driskell cites scriptures from both the Old and New Testaments in her handwritten lawsuit.
“I Sylvia Ann Driskell contend homosexuality is a sin and they the homosexuals know it is a sin to live a life of homosexuality,” she writes. “Refer to Webster Dictionary for the definition of sin: sin the willful breaking of religious or moral law.”
She argues the way to destroy any state or nation is to destroy its morals, and by allowing same-sex marriage, the country is doing just that.
Furthermore, Driskell compares the United States to Sodom and Gomorrah, saying there are not any righteous among us, and we, too, shall be destroyed, unless we turn back to the principles on which the country was founded.
The suit was filed in Omaha District Court.
