The Department of Homeland Security is reporting that the woman killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent had been “stalking and impeding” agents throughout the day.
In a report by Fox News, it was discussed how the woman, Renee Nicole Good, was given multiple instructions to get out of her car to stop the obstruction of law enforcement, but she would not stop before attempting to ram an agent with her vehicle.
According to DHS, the event is being classified as “domestic terrorism.” In the video of the incident, Good is seen putting her car in reverse after agents asked her to “get out of the car.” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem noted that Good was attempting to “weaponize her vehicle” and “attempted to run a law enforcement officer over.”
As the AP noted, other videos of the shooting showed a woman sitting close to the car saying, “That’s my wife, I don’t know what to do!”
In a statement to Truth Social, President Donald Trump wrote:
I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch. The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense. Based on the attached clip, it is hard to believe he is alive, but is now recovering in the hospital. The situation is being studied, in its entirety, but the reason these incidents are happening is because the Radical Left is threatening, assaulting, and targeting our Law Enforcement Officers and ICE Agents on a daily basis. They are just trying to do the job of MAKING AMERICA SAFE. We need to stand by and protect our Law Enforcement Officers from this Radical Left Movement of Violence and Hate!

As Fox also reported, Republicans on Capitol Hill are asking President Trump to use the Insurrection Act against Minnesota’s Gov. Tim Walz for threatening to use the National Guard as a response to the incident. Walz previously said, “We do not need any further help from the federal government. To Donald Trump and Kristi Noem, you’ve done enough. I’ve issued a warning to prepare the Minnesota National Guard.”
Vice President JD Vance has also spoken on the matter during a press conference where he stated, “This was an attack on federal law enforcement. This was an attack on law and order. This was an attack on the American people.”
