There is no doubt about it. The Great Falling Away is finally here.
In a report by The Times, something dark and sinister was discovered: Christians are leaving the faith for explicit paganism. They are not merely leaving because they want to live by their own rules. This falling away is explicitly to go and embrace “paganism, wicca or another form of ‘spiritualism,'” with one in 10 ditching Christianity.
Unfortunately for Great Britain, even with more people converting to Christianity, “these arrivals are outnumbered by people quitting the faith,” as The Times noted.
As the Institute for the Impact of Faith in Life (IIFL) noted, 83% of those who left Christianity now consider themselves to be either agnostic or atheist. 11% of those who abandoned Christianity now call themselves “spiritual,” with 47% of these fitting into the category as pagan and 7% as Wiccan.
This detrimental shift in society shows that we are literally in a spiritual war. Good and evil are real, and Satan will stop at nothing to take people down into the depths of hell with him. He only comes to steal, kill and destroy, and in this case, deceive people into darkness, giving a false sense of freedom.

We must remember that any promises Satan offers are empty and fleeting. He cannot give life beyond this world, he cannot provide genuine love, and he cannot grant the eternal peace our souls are created to receive. What he offers is temporary, hollow and leads only to despair. Jesus Christ, on the other hand, is the source of true life, love and lasting peace. He walks with us through every trial and tribulation, and His promises are eternal, never failing. Those who turn to Him find a love and fulfillment that no earthly or demonic offering can match.
In the midst of this Great Falling Away, believers can stand firm, knowing that only Jesus can satisfy the deepest longings of the human heart, giving life that lasts forever and a hope that darkness can never steal.
