The culture of death continues to grow in Canada.

As more and more people, unfortunately, are choosing to die by medically assisted suicide, Canada is continuing to push their MAID program to attract more helpless victims.

In a new ad for an assisted suicide company based in Canada, a woman can be seen in tears, thinking about her final days.

“When I imagine my final days, I see bubbles. I see the ocean. I see music. Even now, as I seek help to end my life, there is still so much beauty. You just have to be brave enough to see it,” the ad reads.

This chilling display, thinking that death is better than life, is the complete antithesis of what Scripture promises us in a relationship with Jesus.

In a post on X, one user wrote:

We are living in very dystopian and sinister times.

This is an advertisement is from an assisted suicide company in Canada.

Suicide is being sold as the solution to problems.

Murder is being dressed up with television ads (of course, in this case with hardly any diversity).

He also noted that “These times are even scaring Satan.”

Christian actor Kevin Sorbo also discussed the ad on X, calling it “sick.”

How did we get here? Scripture gives us the answer. When a culture turns away from God, it begins to call evil good and good evil (Isa. 5:20). What was once unthinkable becomes normalized, and what was once sacred—life itself—becomes disposable. But even in the midst of this darkness, the truth of God’s Word still stands unshaken.

From the very beginning, life has always been God’s idea. In Deuteronomy 30:19, the Lord declares, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” This is not just a suggestion—it is a divine call. God is not the author of death, but of life, hope and restoration.

The enemy may whisper that there is no way out, that suffering defines the end of your story—but that is a lie. John 10:10 reminds us that while the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, Jesus came that we may have life—and have it more abundantly. Even in pain, even in despair, there is purpose. There is redemption. There is still a future written by the hand of God.

This is the moment to choose life. To fight for life. To pray for those who feel trapped in darkness and to point them to the only One who can truly heal the human heart—Jesus Christ.
