Charlie Kirk, 31, was murdered today on the campus of Utah Valley University during a speaking event. Kirk was a nationally known conservative leader who founded Turning Point USA and was outspoken about his faith in God. His shocking death has shaken many around the world and left supporters in grief.
Author and prophetic voice Jonathan Cahn responded swiftly, saying the attack cannot be understood only in human terms. “There is a real warfare going on,” Cahn declared. “Behind all these events, behind political events, behind the news, there’s a whole another realm.” He urged Americans to see that Kirk’s killing was more than an isolated act of violence.

Cahn drew a direct line between Kirk’s death and the demonic influence driving a wave of violence. “Charlie Kirk was standing for God. He was a devout, passionate believer and spoke about the things of God. And there are other forces that are opposed to that in every way,” Cahn said. “Demonic spirits are real. People who are under the influence of that are real.”
He pointed to disturbing evidence from recent shootings at the Annunciation church and school in Minneapolis, Minnesota that reveals the demons spiritual fingerprints. “The shooter had a picture of Jesus with a bullseye in the scope of a gun. In other words, to fire at Jesus. Who would put that up? A demonic being would put that up,” Cahn explained. He also highlighted how the shooter “was in conversation with a demonic spirit in the mirror, as if the demonic spirit is him or is in him as in possessed.”

Cahn said the pattern extends into the numbers themselves. “In Nashville, the number of children who were killed was nine. Their ages were nine, nine and nine. That’s the inversion. Turn it upside down, it is 666,” he said. “In Minnesota the most accurate reports is that the number that were injured were 18 people. Eighteen is the sum or total of 6-6-6. Nobody could have put that together.”
With Kirk’s assassination now added to the chain of tragedies, Cahn warned that the battle is not cultural or political at its root but deeply spiritual. “We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces,” he said. “The Bible says these things are real and they are real.”
Cahn’s message was one of grief but also of urgency. “If you don’t know God, if you’re not born again, you got to get on the right side because these forces are against you and your life,” he said. He reminded believers of the command to arm themselves spiritually. “The Bible says, put on the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, lift up the sword of the spirit and the shield of faith and fight the good fight.”
As millions mourn the loss of Charlie Kirk, they are also called to prayer and to action. “We have a fight to fight in the Lord. And we know by Him we win. In the end, good does prevail,” Cahn declared.

Today, we pray for Charlie Kirk’s family in their grief. But we also must heed this sobering moment. For the faithful around the world, this tragedy is a reminder that Satan wages war against God daily. It is time for Christians to rise up, put on the armor of God and stand firm in faith until the day evil is finally defeated.
