What ‘Strength’ Really Means in the Verse ‘Love God With All of Your Strength’

Deuteronomy 6:4-5 exhorts the Israelites to love the Lord God “with all of your heart, with all of your soul and with all of your strength.” But the word “strength” may not mean what you think it means. That’s because the Hebrew word for strength—”me’od”—appears around 300 times in the Scriptures, but doesn’t actually mean strength. It’s typically translated as something else. So what does this verse mean? The Bible Project answers that in this short video.
